poor<\/p>\n<p>Searched for words, but none would appear.<\/p>\n<p>For you, Leah, mere words could never express,<\/p>\n<p>Just a hot and glistening tear.<\/p>\n<p>For whatever we\u2019d say, any words we\u2019d outpour<\/p>\n<p>You were so, so much more\u2026<\/p>\n<p>You were so, so much more\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A mother and daughter, sister and wife,<\/p>\n<p>Your \u201cflock\u201d always there at your side,<\/p>\n<p>With devotion and will, and always so calm,<\/p>\n<p>Your children you gently would guide.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You had such a pure and pleasant demeanor,<\/p>\n<p>Your genuine joy captivated.<\/p>\n<p>You knew to be silent, even in pain,<\/p>\n<p>A true inner wholeness radiated<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I felt your strong image obligating us all,<\/p>\n<p>For we saw a life story of courage,<\/p>\n<p>A tale \u2013 short, yet long \u2013 from which we must learn,<\/p>\n<p>An epic to urge and encourage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I saw your figure arousing, demanding \u2013<\/p>\n<p>So simple, yet sincerely so pure.<\/p>\n<p>Teaching: What value has a transient world<\/p>\n<p>Versus Torah heights that endure?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I merited seeing how one can and must<\/p>\n<p>Live with rivers of flowing love<\/p>\n<p>For every mitzvah, for each creature,<\/p>\n<p>And for the Creator above.<\/p>\n<p>I had a walking textbook before my eyes,<\/p>\n<p>Of how to feel the pulse of time as it flies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pearls carefully strung, pieces of life<\/p>\n<p>Stories too many to count,<\/p>\n<p>You were\u2026 You said\u2026<\/p>\n<p>You left us a legacy\u2026<\/p>\n<p>A wondrous lifetime account.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Volunteering<\/strong> at your bedside was a privilege indeed,<\/p>\n<p>Your radiant character inspiring,<\/p>\n<p>Days and nights, how you hoped and believed,<\/p>\n<p>I was awed by your faith, never tiring.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You lay in your bed, wounded and aching,<\/p>\n<p>Your body, in agony and pain<\/p>\n<p>Yet you did all to give a good feeling, a sweet,<\/p>\n<p>Thanking us again and again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As the sand in your hourglass neared to its end,<\/p>\n<p>You knew how to utilize your time.<\/p>\n<p>To inquire about our new job, a shidduch to suggest,<\/p>\n<p>As if you were feeling in your prime.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Your modesty was rare, O, what a loss!<\/p>\n<p>You were a sacrifice, for the rest to atone.<\/p>\n<p>They surely rejoiced up Above when you came,<\/p>\n<p>But, Leah, we were left here, alone!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve lost mother and daughter, sister and wife,<\/p>\n<p>Our finest, alas, has moved on!<\/p>\n<p>Our heads are bowed, we weep on end,<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cthorns\u201d need their \u201crose,\u201d but she\u2019s gone\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I know that the prayers and the tears that were shed<\/p>\n<p>Carved into our hearts their impression<\/p>\n<p>They built and transformed, worked wonders indeed,<\/p>\n<p>With their painful, yet penetrating lesson.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For, we, too, want to be pure as were you,<\/p>\n<p>To rise above matter, beyond \u201cwhy\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And, like Leah, to amass innumerable merits,<\/p>\n<p>To lead a life of truth, to try.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The final lines, the music fades,<\/p>\n<p>The tears are reluctantly dried.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve written and shared, yet my words cannot paint<\/p>\n<p>Your greatness \u2013 I\u2019m just not qualified<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No, I just couldn\u2019t capture your towering image,<\/p>\n<p>Not your life, nor the secret of who you are.<\/p>\n<p>All we can do is to learn and to yearn<\/p>\n<p>To be like you, though we are so far.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See, Leah, the fruits of your labor,<\/p>\n<p>The light that you kindled still glows<\/p>\n<p>It continues to shine and illuminate<\/p>\n<p>The Kiddush Hashem yet grows.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The paths that you blazed, rare in their beauty<\/p>\n<p>Many more will yet tread them again,<\/p>\n<p>For this path is not
