Dealing with Fear and Anxiety
\nA series of gatherings organized by the Har Nof Community Administration, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality and the Israel Trauma Coalition.
\nIn the course of the month following the shocking and horrifying massacre that took place at the Beit Knesset Kehillat Bnei Torah in the Har Nof section of Jerusalem, many requests were made to the Har Nof Community administration for assistance in cases of anxiety attacks that appear only after the resumption of routine.
\nTalya Levanon, CEO of the Israeli Trauma Coalition, explains that many times, anxiety attacks crop up only after some time, attesting to the fact that the incident was not processed smoothly.
\nThere are definite signs to identify anxiety, both from behavioral and physical aspects. It is advisable to obtain tools to identify the problem and to provide a suitable solution as soon as possible, which enable the victim to achieve a full return to tranquil routine.
\nImmediately after the terror attack, the Har Nof Community Administration, in collaboration with Ezer Mizion, held a special evening attended by some 400 people to offer an immediate response to anxiety.
\nFollowing the great demand indicated by this important gathering, the Community Administration, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality and the Israel Trauma Coalition, announced a series of events, with rabbinical backing, to identify and provide professional tools to deal with anxiety. In addition, at the lectures, options were available to sign up for a short series of workshops in various languages.
