Urgent!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sorry about the late hour!<\/p>\n<p>Looking for a volunteer to deliver an envelope with an oncology patient\u2019s lab samples from Israel to Milan, Italy, tomorrow morning!!<\/p>\n<p>This is a real case of life and death!<\/p>\n<p>We will bring the envelope to any point in Israel to the traveler. It will be picked up from any place in Milan.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Beep.<\/em><\/strong> Boruch Hashem. Thank you to staff and the five volunteers who linked together forming a human chain. Envelope delivered safely to Milan. Mission accomplished.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Beep.<\/em><\/strong> To fellow members of Ezer Mizion\u2019s &#8220;Linked to Life&#8221; What\u2019s App group, Bnei Brak:<\/p>\n<p>Today I was privileged to take a mother and her daughter, an oncology patient, from Tel Hashomer medical center to Bnei Brak.<\/p>\n<p>The mother sat in the back seat, her daughter in her arms, pale and absolutely exhausted.<\/p>\n<p>I quote:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We go for treatments almost every day.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>So far, <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/ezermizion.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/car-driving-man-city-46591018.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3502\" src=\"http:\/\/ezermizion.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/car-driving-man-city-46591018-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"car-driving-man-city-46591018\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ezermizion.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/car-driving-man-city-46591018-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ezermizion.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/car-driving-man-city-46591018.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><em>you&#8217;ve taken us more than 70 times!!!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I cannot begin to tell you what a huge chessed you are doing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Taking Abba. Bringing home Imma.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Driving a volunteer to relieve us at our little girl&#8217;s bedside.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>These are not simply messages rippling through What&#8217;s App.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For us, it&#8217;s lifesaving!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We would never be able to deal with the illness without your assistance and support!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And then came the sentence that really broke me:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;There&#8217;s another girl on the ward from Bnei Brak who was sick a few years ago, and now, the disease came back, after she had recovered completely. The mother says all the time: Even though the second time around is supposed to be harder \u00ad\u2013 thanks to &#8216;Linked to Life,&#8217; it&#8217;s a lot easier for us than last time!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I try to keep driving, but suddenly I feel a tear rolling down my cheek.<\/p>\n<p>How blessed are we all \u2013 members of Ezer Mizion&#8217;s &#8216;Linked to Life&#8217; groups.<\/p>\n<p>************************************************************************************<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Click. Family having a good time at Benei Re\u2019em until one child stricken with asthma attack. Needs Tenzol to restore and regulate breathing. One Linked to Life member has access to \u00a0child\u2019s prescription. Another picks up med from first on his way to Benei Re\u2019em\u2026 Child breathing normally. Family breathing normally. Back to vacation mode and looking forward to milking the cows at illustrious Benei Re\u2019em.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Beep.<\/em><\/strong> I\u2019m the daughter of that cancer patient for whom transport was just requested. Of course, I want to be there for my mother but I am the mother of six children and I work full time. My mother has been ill for almost two years now. The diagnosis was discovered the day after my baby\u2019s bris.<\/p>\n<p>After a year of exhausting trips and draining night shifts, I was privileged to become familiar with you, Linked to Life,<\/p>\n<p>Until you came on the scene, my mother felt so uncomfortable already \u201cimposing\u201d on me, that once she \u201cescaped\u201d early in the morning, traveling in two stuffy buses, all the while with an immunological contraption on her face!!<\/p>\n<p>On her last trip, she became infected and was hospitalized. She knew one of my kids was sick at home and didn\u2019t want me to feel any pressure. I panicked. I pictured her alone. Then I remembered Linked to Life.
