<\/a>Five Bat Yam retirees awarded the \u201cGolden Volunteer\u201d medallion for 2016 for their volunteer work in the community. Another 16 were honored for their volunteering<\/strong><\/p>\nFor the sixth year running, the \u201cGolden Volunteer\u201d ceremony was held in Bat Yam, as part of the schedule of events for \u201cRetirees\u2019 Month,\u201d which salutes the senior population.<\/p>\n
The highlight of the event was a film describing the retirees\u2019 volunteer activities, including interviews with the people who nominated the awardees for the honor. Five seniors were awarded the \u201cGolden Volunteer\u201d medallion and another sixteen received certificates of honor.<\/p>\n
