On Sunday, you were beginning treatment.<\/p>\n

We arranged that I would come.<\/p>\n

An event that I\u2019m responsible for is stretching out longer than expected, and I\u2019m thinking of you.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s already 10:30 PM.<\/p>\n

I send a text message to your mother: “Does it still make sense for me to come?”<\/p>\n

She replies that she thinks it would be better tomorrow.<\/p>\n

A minute goes by, and she calls. \u201cMaor, come now. Ophir wants you.\u201d<\/p>\n

11:30 PM. I\u2019m sitting next to you. You ask me to tell you what\u2019s in the Lego kit I brought you.<\/p>\n

You plan how you\u2019ll build it, and I enjoy planning it with you. Making plans implies a future.<\/p>\n
