\"pr<\/a>This\u00a0 post is my platform to scream it out to the entire world \u2013 THANK YOU!<\/p>\n

On the way home from Tel Hashomer this morning, just when I had finished saying, \u201cThank you,\u201d for all the great mitzvahs that this organization does for us, a song started playing on the radio that could not have been more symbolic for me:<\/p>\n

Hallelujah, forever,<\/em><\/p>\n

Hallelujah \u2013 everyone will sing.<\/em><\/p>\n

With one, lone word,<\/em><\/p>\n

The heart is full of tons of gratitude.<\/em><\/p>\n

It, too, shouts\u00a0 \u2013 what a wonderful world!<\/em><\/p>\n

Hallelujah \u2013 with the song.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hallelujah \u2013 for each day that dawns<\/em><\/p>\n

Hallelujah \u2013 for what was,<\/em><\/p>\n

And for what wasn\u2019t yet \u2013 Hallelujah.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Until quite recently, Ezer Mizion was \u201cjust another organization,\u201d as far as I was concerned.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t really know what they did.<\/p>\n

I linked up with them via a co-worker who understood that I was coming from a place of deep frustration.<\/p>\n

I explained to them that my father is a cancer patient<\/strong> whose condition is not good and, unfortunately, he cannot get around now. When he needs to go to\u00a0 Tel Hashomer, he has no other means of transportation other than a so very costly ambulance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the other end of the line was a nice fellow named Shmulik, with huge patience and a pleasant demeanor. In an instant, my father was added to the Ezer Mizion Transportation<\/strong> Roster<\/a> and only a quick phone call was needed to bring the nicest, kindliest, most respectful drivers each time transportation<\/strong> was needed. Cost: $0<\/p>\n

Even when Abba was hospitalized and we forgot to cancel the transport.<\/p>\n

Even when we forget to update some detail.<\/p>\n

Even when we canceled at the last minute because our head isn\u2019t on straight due to everything that\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n

Even when they had to explain everything to me 80 times over.<\/p>\n

Even when it means having to send an ambulance<\/strong> especially for us because we\u2019re not on the route,<\/p>\n

Even then, they responded with\u00a0 full understanding, giving us such a good feeling.<\/p>\n

So thank you, dear, special people on the other end of the line and behind the steering wheel. Thank you to Shmulik, Danny, and the wonderful girls at the ambulance call-in center and the message reception center. Thank you for being the entire world for people like us, who lose their way a little at the beginning.<\/p>\n
