A young man, just barely stepping into adulthood, encounters a horrendous nightmare that washed away the last vestiges of childhood. Head on, he met up with evil. And he can never be the same.

On October 7th, he was called into the reserves and with the beginning of the ground maneuver, he entered Gaza and fought for 4 months with supreme bravery. At the end of February, A went in with additional fighters, to clear a four-story building. While in the parking lot, they were attacked by terrorists – the MP and MM of the force were killed on the spot, and A? Watching his closest friends die, he was happy to be alive. However, the terrorists had injured both of his legs and he was taken to the hospital in a serious condition. His family spent hours at his bedside. He had so many plans. Will there be a future for him? And, if so, what kind of a future. Will he be wheel-chair bound for the rest of his life? Will he marry and raise a family? Will he be dependent on others for every small need?
A couldn’t step on his feet for a long time and the doctors around him predicted that he wouldn’t be able to return to normal life and walk. After the open wounds in his feet healed, rehabilitation was the next step and he went into the process with full force. That is when Ezer Mizion Hydro-therapeutic Pool came into play. A professional program was set up for him but, as is well-known- successful therapy is contingent on the willingness of the patient to work and work hard.

Recently, after a year and a half of an intensive rehabilitation process, A celebrated a Seudas HpDa’ah (Gathering of Gratitude) with his family and friends while standing on his feet (! ).
