pr corona- Maccabi presentation-maleMaccabi Health Services known as Kupat Cholim Maccabi, is one of the four HMOs in Israel with over 2 million members and is considered an influential institution in regards to the Israeli healthcare system. Maccabi members benefit from diverse health services but there are many, many instances where help is needed. As Maccabi staff members can testify, Ezer Mizion is the address to turn to. Ezer Mizion’s goal: to be there for others. Their means: a professional, extensive network willing to think out of box in order to benefit the ill. Time and time again, when standard routine would not allow for the patient’s receiving what he needs, a call was made to the number they all knew by heart and the walls came tumbling down. Medicine and Jewish Law

pr gen R' Chollak IMG_9149Hundreds of  rabbis from across the country participated in a “Medicine and Halachah (Jewish Law) ” conference at the Convention Center in Haifa, organized by Maccabi Health Services. Maccabi is committed to provide uncompromising professional and efficient medical service, while adapting its advanced services and making them accessible to the religious public. This is accomplished through an open line of communication, sensitivity to the special needs, and constant consultation with the community’s rabbinic leaders. Maccabi proves, in practice, that ‘medicine according to halachah’ is possible and desirable.   This conference created a positive connection between the religious communities and Maccabi. An Evening of Appreciation

A special, moving evening was held to salute hundreds of Ezer Mizion drivers and volunteers, with the collaboration of the Modi’in Ilit region Maccabi Health services. Hagaon Rabbi M. Kessler shlita, Rav of Modi’in Ilit, Rabbi Chananya Chollak, International Chairman of Ezer Mizion, Mayor Rabbi Yaakov Guterman, and Rabbi Yaakov Lapidus, Director of the Ezer Mizion branch in the city, participated in the evening and addressed the audience.
