women whose husbands have cancer, and mothers of children with cancer got a brief hiatus from their grueling life routine, as they enjoyed a luxurious fun day at the Sheraton City Tower Hotel in Tel Aviv.

For the first three hours, the women browsed among the various stations: pr cancer support mothers day of pampering 2 13 1537_ne_photo_stories4_faaecmake-up, manicures, face treatments, flower arranging, beading, and other crafts projects, while soft music played in the background, contributing to the relaxing atmosphere.

After the women had a chance to enjoy all the stations, the well-known stand-up comedienne, Rotam Abuhav, stepped on stage, and with her unique talent, managed to put a genuine smile on every face in the audience.

After an elaborate luncheon, the women also enjoyed a performance by Margalit Tzanani, who then led them all in lively dancing.

At the day’s conclusion, each woman was presented a “pampering packet” with a collection of creams and other gifts, leaving them with a warm, personal memento of the marvelous experience.cancer support mothers-day o fpampering 2 13 1537_ne_photo_stories1_de070

We were deeply moved by Tzippy’s words on our Facebook page: “I want to thank you for the fun day. I can’t believe I actually came, straight the radiation, instead of going home, as I usually do after treatment. I was showered with lots of love, pampering and good fun. Thank you! You are simply amazing! I really enjoyed myself. I can’t remember the last time I laughed like I did yesterday. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are angels!”

For one day, we tried to banish the pain… and the smiles testify to our success!

Thanks are due to the entire wonderful staff at Ezer Mizion’s Oranit cancer patient support center, who rallied and worked to make the day a smashing mental illness flower MB900449094
